NAY Movement Conducts Free Registration Of Voters Ahead Of 2023 Elections.

 

The New African Youth Movement Western Nigeria branch in the University of Ibadan had on the Saturday, 24th May conducted a free Voter's  registration for the Permanent Voter's Card ahead of the 2023 presidential elections for residents of the area.

The centre which was situated around the campus gate, witnessed the influx of interested citizens who wanted to register to get the PVC.

The previous day, a banner indicating the initiative was put out on the spot and on the day of the exercise, 10 persons were already at the spot waiting to get registered. These consisted of those who had questions about the exercise with regards to how to get registered for the first time, how to get the PVC in exchange for the Temporary Voter's Card and where to get their cards after registeration.

The exercise also included those without smartphones who had no email address as email addresses were opened for them at the spot. At the end of the day's exercise which ended around 4pm, 25 people were already registered and awaiting the collection of their cards.

The exercise also held on the Monday, 23rd May as many interested persons looked forward to getting registered. The exercise which held from 10am in the morning till 7pm in the evening had a total registeration of 10 persons.

A third exercise is expected to hold soon before the expiration of the exercise nationwide slated for 30th June,2022.
